Two parallel activities shall be organized within the framework of ICT-Hanoi 2008: The ICT Industry Issues and Challenges Forum & the ICT Research and Development Symposium

ICT Research & Development

The ICT Research and Development Symposium 2008 is an official event of the second Hanoi Forum on Information-Communication Technology (ICT-Hanoi 2008). This Symposium ICT-Hanoi 2008 will bring together researchers, developers, and practitioners to share their original research and development results, their problems and concerns, and to establish or to improve the collaboration between them.

The symposium has a focus on Natural Language Proceesing (NLP) and Software Engineering (SE). The topics of the symposium include but are not limited to:

    • Natural language processing
    • Text, speech, and image processing
    • Software architectures and their description languages
    • Software specification, refinement, and verification
    • Software quality assurance
    • Models of object and component  systems
    • Service-oriented development
    • Web services
    • Multimedia
    • Human-computer interaction
    • Internet-based (grid) computing, soft-computing
    • Real-time and embedded systems
    • Security: modeling, policies and techniques
    • Data mining, KDD
    • Decision support systems

ICT Capacity Building Forum

The topics for presentations and discussions at the Forum are mainly with ICT Industry Issues and Challenges. The Presentations will be clustered in Sessions and include but are not limited to the following:

Submissions of abstracts and papers must be done by e-mail. An extended abstract (not longer than 200 words) and full paper should be submitted before the deadline extended to Ocober 10, 2008. Papers should be written in English and used a template of the VNU’s Journal of Science (can be downloaded from the ICT-Hanoi website
